I am so excited to share about a project that I have been working on with several other members of our community. Along with a bunch of other local volunteers, my friend Evan Solano–whom you may remember from my podcast episode The Power of Local Journalism–and I are launching a hyper-local community newspaper called the San Dimas Community Post. Like my podcast, our aim is to cover local stories in order to bring transparency and raise awareness about important issues happening right here in San Dimas. In our interview together, Evan talked about the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics, which will be guiding our work with the newspaper. We want the paper to be accessible, and of course, we will definitely have some fun along the way!
