At a joint study session on October 13, 2020, the City Council and Planning Commission will consider zoning changes in Via Verde that could have potential impacts on all of San Dimas. The conversation hinges around increasing the amount of grading (or excavating) allowed in Specific Plan 11, which comprises properties in the Via Verde Ridge Homeowners Association. The concerns from residents range from aesthetic, to environmental, to ethical. Listen to this episode to hear how this issue could affect you.

This is a very passionate and time spent podcast. However, the title is incorrect to the #1 issue. It is not a Zone Change. It is a Grading Restriction Change. Some information also is very misleading as to people’s character and the reasons asked for the change. There are only a few sides heard or discussed and it is quite one sided and not to the residents in the exact areas. It discusses the HOA interviewed, her friends, her family, (which some are council members in the city itself) where we’re the neighboring residences living, owning, in the exact lots? What this would effect exactly? and how much of the total lands of our San Dimas City?? I am in this exact area.. come hear me out. Come see and learn the facts, see the sights. Neighbors in our areas compliment on how beautiful some make their view everyday! I didn’t hear anything to those facts on this podcast. Though I appreciate your trying to learn development, codes, going to meetings, but to really get involved would to post each (Correct) side. It’s a propaganda piece from Isabel Ebiner. I heard Phil Ebiner with his dream for the city on it, we all have fabulous dreams for this city too. We all are very involved in this city for 30+ years. Then, I know there is another Ebiner on the San Dimas City Council. This may just be a bit one sided trying to push a large agenda instead of a small issue in a small area of the city?? The Begin in question – the Council member too are very much involved in numerous actions of the city. They are fantastic people with great ideas for the city as well. Begin’s have been her 50 years and John Begin 31 years. As I have watched Mr. Weber through this Covid time and being a newer fresher view with Safety of our city- he’s doing an Outstanding Job for San Dimas. Though they may be different ideas for the city, causing a public display when all is being seen in council meetings, every month or on the neighboring sites is an opportunity for people to make a total view on the Grading situation. That’s my humble opinion as living and working here in San Dimas. I’m in this exact area.. I donated so much time, and money to the Youth in this city. It was time to be heard as well here. Love all the technology involved in the podcast as well Isabel. Once again though much of it is opinion wanting no hillside changes anywhere in Via Verde area. ( Grading also means bringing in dirt to make areas stable). Have a great day All Neighbors. ☺️
